Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mallet ("Mallet," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit trymallet.com or use the Mallet service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email, phone, and business details when you join the waitlist, book a demo, or create an account.
- Customer data — if you use Mallet to run your business, the records you enter (your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, and the phone numbers you message). You control this data; we process it on your behalf to operate the Service.
- Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser/device type, and pages viewed, collected automatically.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, support, and updates.
- To send the service messages described below, with your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS / text messaging
With your consent, Mallet sends service-related text messages — such as appointment confirmations, quote and invoice notifications, and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service under contract — e.g. hosting (Vercel), database/auth, payments (Stripe), messaging (Twilio), and email — limited to what they need.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and may use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser.
6. Data retention & security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, though no method is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at joe@trymallet.com.
8. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we will post the new version here and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
